After the lights stopped flickering, she says that Winden might not give up that easily, but Ulrich believes that next time it will. She asks him if the world was going to end and renew, what would he wish for. Hannah concurs with him, stating that she expected it to be more loud and glaring. She jokes around that the current situation was the apocalypse, and Ulrich refers to it as a disappointment. They sat together and took a gander at the flickering lights in the streets. Katharina hands the other girl a music tape, expressing that it's about a guy kidnapping and murdering a girl for wearing lipstick. In the school hallway, she is conversing with Katharina and another girl. Her obsession was driving her to become selfish. She had a massive crush on the former, which is why she spends her time close to Ulrich. She attended high school and befriended the rebellious Ulrich Nielsen, and a jock named Katharina Albers. "We do love challenges," Odar says with a laugh. Another part of the series that was touted when it was first announced was that 1899 would not be entirely in German, like Dark, nor would it be in any one language.
